| Addiction Services for York Region |
We are a non-profit agency that supports change in the lives of individuals, their families and communities related to substance use and gambling. We serve anyone 12 years of age and older who is affected by substance use or problem gambling. We understand that substance abuse and problem gambling are the result of personal lifestyle issues and coping strategies. We also recognize the detrimental effects of addictions on the emotional, mental and physical health of individuals, their families and friends. |

The AIDS Committee of York Region is a community-based, non-profit organization, which embraces the GIPA* principles, provides support, and offers education which promotes the development of a caring and compassionate society, as well as access to dignified care for people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS. *GIPA=Greater Involvement of People with HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS). |
| Blue Door Shelters |
Many men, women, youth and children in our communities find themselves homeless and in need of short-term, emergency shelter. Fortunately we have programs and services that can help. Since 1982, Blue Door Shelters, a not-for-profit registered charitable agency governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, has been an integral part of our community providing essential emergency shelter service. | Blue Hills Child and Family Centre |
Client centred services focus on social, emotional and behavioural well-being primarily for children, youth and their families and includes residential programs, nonresidential programs and programs geared to the support and education of staff of other child serving systems. Specific services include: Individual, Family, Marital, Group, Play Therapy, Intensive Services, specialized birth to 6 Services, Triple P, Treatment Foster Care and Children's Therapeutic Residential Services. |
| Citizens for Affordable Housing |
Maintains a housing registry to assist individuals in securing affordable accommodation that exists in the private rental market. The centre is operated by the Affordable Housing Committee of York.

| CMHA York Region |
The Canadian Mental Health Association, York Region Branch was founded in 1984 and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illnesses. We help people learn how to maintain their mental health, look for and identify the signs of mental illness, and get help and support when they need it. Through several locations across York Region and South Simcoe, we provide a wide range of services to assist individuals with their recovery. Our multi-disciplinary team of professionals are dedicated to assisting people achieve their optimum level of mental health. |
| Community Legal Clinic of York Region |
Provides legal service (advice/representation); public legal education assistance to community groups with law reform and community development; community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario; provides summary advice by telephone; produces and distributes free public legal education materials; speakers are available to community agencies at no cost; specialists in the laws concerning landlord and tenants act. Will refer to appropriate clinic. Does not give legal advice on any real estate matters. Also gives advice on who to contact for welfare, WSIB; disability legal issues. |
| Georgina Mobility Transit (Operating Transit Georgina) |
We are a small, grassroots, non-profit organization committed to providing affordable transportation. Our screened, reliable, volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to connect members of our community with the services and supports they require. We provide transportation to those who are unable to access the supports or services they need. These clients are often restricted due to their financial situation or other life circumstances. We require a minimum of 24 hours notice. We cannot provide emergency service. Annually, we provide over 12,000 rides. |

The Learning Disabilities Association provides information, support, guidance and resources to people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). We try to help people increase their opportunities and realize their potential. |
