A catalyst for collaborative solutions to homelessness and poverty

Who We Are

York Region Alliance to End Homelessness (YRAEH) is a coalition of stakeholders who are working collaboratively to implement a strategic response to homelessness/risk of homelessness in the nine municipalities that make up York Region.

Aurora – East Gwillimbury – Georgina – King – Markham – Newmarket
Richmond Hill - Whitchurch - Stouffville – Vaughan

Our work is informed by the principles of health equity and the social determinants of health.

Governance

YRAEH has been a project of Tides Canada Initiatives (TCI) since December 2007. TCI creates a charitable home for YRAEH and provides back office support for our collaborative work taking on the administrative, financial, and human resource services of our coalition so that we can focus on our mission. TCI holds governing, legal and fiduciary responsibilities for YRAEH.

YRAEH Steering Committee – Current Members

The Steering Committee is a voluntary advisory committee to both TCI management and to YRAEH staff and provides an important mechanism of accountability and support.
