This is a chance for Housing, Outreach, and Transitional Support Workers to get together to network and share resources over a hot cup of coffee. Feel free to stay for a Capacity Building Working Group meeting directly following the networking session.

Are you stressed? Do you ever feel overwhelmed about the needs of your clients during the holiday season?

"Without the work, leadership, and support of the York Region Alliance to End Homelessness it is difficult to say how the agencies like ours would be able to connect with each other.  As the Community Housing and Support Worker I have found this opportunity to meet other workers from other agencies very valuable and I have referred youth to many of the services that are offered as a result of hearing first hand what support is out there for them."

Have you ever noticed how social service agency staff sometimes enter the holiday season feeling stressed and overwhelmed about the needs of their clients?  Feeding Souls...this may be the title of our first Capacity Building training/networking event under our HPI(2) funding.  We are hoping that this workshop will be a great chance for Housing, Outreach, and Transitional Support workers to learn about extra seasonal resources to refer clients to, as well as gain some insight about how to set healthy boundaries, manage stress, and prepare for the upcoming holiday season.
