Hidden In Plain Sight: Living Homeless in York Region - photovoice exhibit now on our web site

One of the core values of YRAEH is inclusion – to actively seek and value the voices and strengths of individuals with lived experience of being homeless or experiencing risk of homelessness in our work. Today we launch our Hidden in Plain Sight photovoice project on the web. Up to this point, the photographs have been exhibited at a number of venues across York Region including art galleries, a municipal office and a faith community. The photographs were taken by people with lived experience of homelessness and risk of homelessness in York Region. They provide a glimpse of living circumstances in our communities that should give us pause for thought, and we hope – inspire collective action for change. Please view the photos and … let us know what you think… (Please note- the video is silent at the beginning.)
